Multidisciplinary Communication Studies

This program allows an in-depth acquaintance with a diverse range of theories and the latest communication research. Students in the program engage with a variety communication processes and phenomena, investigating their social, political and cultural implications from diverse theoretical and methodological starting points, including psychological approaches to communication, discourse studies, media ethnography, and groundbreaking digital methodologies. The curriculum is especially suitable for students who wish to design for themselves a unique and personal specialization track which is not offered by the department’s other MA streams. The program consists of core courses common to all graduate students in communication, alongside a variety of elective courses and seminars offered in the department. It is suitable for those interested in a more general understanding of the sheer complexity of communication, whether or not they aspire to continue in academia after their studies.
