Internet and New Media

It's hard to overstate the importance of digital media in the contemporary era. Cultural and social processes, as well as economic and political ones, are being transformed thanks to platforms like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. These and other applications are an integral part of our daily lives. They influence the way we work, choose travel itineraries, or find partners (and even separate from them). The Internet and New Media MA program is aimed at outstanding students who want to gain a deeper understanding of the contemporary media environment. The program provides its graduates with theoretical and practical tools on topics such as social networking, internet marketing, sharing as an online value, internet memes, network privacy, new forms of corporate power, and the fate of “old” or “legacy” media (such as television) in the networked age. The program is aimed at both those who want to focus on academic research and those who are interested in engaging more practically with new media.
